Covid 19 Update.
Greyline Chauffeurs is a private hire operator and is under no obligation to enter into a contract to provide a private hire vehicle for anybody, provided any such refusal is not based on a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010 (section 4 – age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief; sex, sexual orientation).
Once the booking is been accepted, there is a contract in place for us to provide a vehicle for that hiring. If on arriving at the pickup point, the driver sees that the passenger is displaying obvious symptoms of coronavirus then they may feel it is not safe to carry that passenger, then the driver has the right to refuse to carry this passenger.
If you have any symptoms of Covid 19 please do not book as you are putting our drivers at risk of infection.
The following social distancing advice may help keep you and us safer.
The number of customers traveling in our vehicles should be kept to a minimum.
Any customers in our vehicle at the same time should be from the same household.
Where possible, customers should sit in the back of the vehicle.
Before the journey, if you have any luggage or bags please put them in the boot yourself, If you are able to do so, we will pop the boot open from inside your vehicle if possible.
If we need to help a customer with luggage or shopping, we will maintain a safe distance where possible, we can do this by asking you to leave your bags at the back of the vehicle and then asking you to step away so we can load them.
Steps we are taking.
After each customer, we clean our vehicles thoroughly using wipes or disinfectant spray. Making sure the surfaces customers are likely to touch are cleaned, such as door handles and seat belt clips.
